Flips 2015 is a reprint of the original Flips, A Filipino American Anthology published in 1971, the first poetry anthology of American children of the Manong Generation. The students who originally published Flips were trailblazers who participated in the 1968-1969 student-faculty strike at San Francisco State and went on to break barriers in elite graduate schools and the mainstream labor force.
